Great writeup. Now we need to get you out of the audience and onto the agenda. Put it on your calendar, Ed in '09! I'm not kidding. Who do we need to contact?

As for ustream, I had good success with a dedicated USB camera and cheapie analog mic. A modern cam with a built in mic makes it even easier. I think Steve Hargadon has a good one.

Keep on keepin' on!

What I thought was interesting about this meet up is that they must have been blanketing the edublogger community with notices and requests to attend as even I, who am a Canadian, received several of them. Sounds like you had a pretty good day and ustreaming the event was a slick move, but I hope they begin to look at their audience a bit more.
